Current state of the Social Media Management ecosystem
After London in 2017 (350 attendees), Barcelona in 2018 (700 attendees), EBG is organizing its 3rd edition of The Digital Benchmark in Berlin from May 22nd to May 24th 2019. The event will bring together more than 700 digital decision-makers from the largest European companies to select and implement MarTechs solutions (marketing and technology).
Soraya Benali, Nexton's Head of Digital and her team, are co-authoring the analysis and presentation of the Social Media Management ecosystem. In this interview, we discuss the reasons for her involvement in this project, her role and the trends she is witnessing in this MarTech sector.
Can you introduce yourself and Nexton?
NEXTON is a leader in operational digital consulting, we are developing our know-how to support digital pureplayers and key accounts in digital transformation.
We work in consulting mode and/or agency mode, for our clients on the UX/UI design, as well as the development and project management phases in agile mode. In order to best support our customers, we also have the ability to bring the solutions to life through the creation of editorial, graphic and social media content.
Could you specify your role in this study and give some methodological elements?
We approached the question of animation and account management on all social networks. We have identified different tools and mapped some of the editors, however, this list is not exhaustive. Considering how the business is constantly evolving, we have put ourselves in the position of a marketer who compares the tools to find the differences.
A questionnaire was submitted to the main solutions on the market in order to collect as much data and information as possible on the various features offered.
Nexton advises many brands on digital challenges. What are the topics and trends you are witnessing today among your customers?
One of the trends in Brand Content is the return to authenticity. Produce unique and high value-added content for the brand, make Internet users interact to consolidate a community.
Brands rely on the human factor to rebuild a trust that is sometimes damaged. They are asking us to encourage social interaction, and create more engagement in social networks.
And to do this, we recommend that they produce more relevant content to the audience, educational and entertaining. We are lucky to have more and more tools that allow us to create effective content simply and quickly like for example, Canva for templates or Animoto for short videos.
Why do I have to register for the 2019 Digital Benchmark in Berlin?
It is a real business and networking experience. This allows us to share experiences, new trends, benchmark innovations in the sector and meet market decision makers. We did it for the first time last year; it was very inspiring and rewarding!
As a reminder, the presentation of this study will take place in Berlin from May 22nd to 24th during the 2019 Digital Benchmark, an event organised by EBG which will bring together more than 700 digital decision-makers.
